Dance On  Ensemble

 I started to work with Dance On Ensemble in 2019.  

The first work was  A re-imagining of Story Choreographed by  Merce Cunningham in 1960's. For this work, we took Cunningham technique classes every morning and rehearsed it. 

I really see the difference and similarity of technique between Martha and Merce. I love the way Merce explore and go beyond Martha's technique.

And this is one of the first work of Merce to explore the idea of chance operation. It was a hard work but we all enjoyed it very much.

​

In 2023, we premiered Mellowing - this time, almost all of us are in this work. We spent 2 and half month workign on this work. Learning different weight use, shifting... wow. It was a great experience!!! and this work is amazing!!!
